Job Description

Paint Technician Primus Aerospace is a leading manufacturing partner to aerospace, defense & space OEMs / Primes & Tier I suppliers. The company specializes in producing high-tolerance, complex geometry parts; machined out of standard and exotic metals. Primus works directly with all major aerospace manufacturers (e.g., Boeing, Lockheed, Northrop) to provide components to mission critical civilian and defense programs.
Overview:
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Painter to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for preparing and painting aerospace components while ensuring quality, precision, and adnce to safety standards in a production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare aerospace parts and components for painting by cleaning, sanding, masking, and surface prepping.
  • primers, coatings, and paint finishes according to specifications and work instructions.
  • Inspect painted parts for quality, consistency, and proper coverage.
  • Operate spray painting equipment and maintain painting tools and materials.
  • Mix paints and coatings to required specifications.
  • Ensure proper handling and movement of parts throughout the paint process.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow all safety procedures and properly use personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Work closely with production, quality, and assembly teams to meet deadlines and production goals.
Requirements:
  • Prior experience in industrial, manufacturing, automotive, or aerospace painting preferred.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Comfortable performing repetitive tasks with consistency and precision.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Able to stand, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods of time.
Physical Requirements:
  • Standing and moving throughout the shift in a manufacturing environment.
  • Bending, lifting, and handling parts using proper lifting techniques.
  • Steady and precise hand movement for detailed finishing work.
