Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and energetic Painter to join our dynamic construction and renovation team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to a variety of surfaces across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Your expertise will help transform spaces, ensuring high-quality results that meet client specifications and safety standards. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects that challenge your craftsmanship and creativity while contributing to beautiful, functional environments. Duties Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and repairing imperfections to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and other finishes using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless paint spraying), and power tools. Read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately determine project scope and specifications. Perform specialized painting tasks including industrial coating applications, stucco work, plastering, and restoration projects. Execute renovation projects involving drywall installation, caulking, trim carpentry, fixture installation, masonry work, and framing. Utilize construction estimating skills to assess project requirements and materials needed for efficient job completion. Maintain safety protocols on construction sites by handling hazardous materials like welding fumes or industrial paints responsibly while adhering to OSHA standards. Skills Proficiency in construction estimating and blueprint reading for accurate project planning. Strong knowledge of color theory to achieve desired aesthetic effects. Experience with residential painting as well as commercial and industrial painting projects. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, and airless paint sprayers. Familiarity with construction site procedures including schematics interpretation and masonry techniques. Ability to perform plastering, caulking, stucco application, drywall finishing, and fixture installation with precision. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to project specifications. Knowledge of renovation practices such as remodeling, restoration work, concrete finishing, carpentry (including trim carpentry and frame carpentry), masonry, welding, and handyman tasks.
