Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Painter to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, stain, and coatings to various surfaces, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet project specifications. Whether working on residential, commercial, or renovation projects, you will play a vital part in transforming spaces with precision and craftsmanship. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality Apply paint, stain, varnish, and other coatings using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless paint spraying), and power tools Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately execute painting plans Perform specialized tasks including industrial painting, restoration work, masonry finishing, stucco application, and fixture installation Execute renovation projects by handling carpentry tasks like trim carpentry and frame carpentry as needed Maintain safety standards on construction sites by using proper equipment and adhering to protocols during all phases of work Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining quality standards Skills Extensive experience with construction estimating and blueprint reading to accurately assess project scope and materials needed Proficiency in residential and commercial painting techniques along with knowledge of color theory for achieving desired aesthetic effects Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, and welding equipment for diverse tasks including plastering, caulking, masonry, and concrete finishing Strong understanding of schematics and technical drawings relevant to construction painting projects Ability to perform renovation work involving remodeling, restoration, fixture installation, drywall finishing, and maintenance tasks Basic math skills for measurements and calculations essential for precise application of materials Hands-on experience with construction site safety practices and handyman skills for troubleshooting on-site issues Join our team if you're passionate about transforming spaces with expert craftsmanship!
