N/A POSITION SUMMARY
The Industrial Painter is responsible for preparing, painting, and finishing fabricated components and equipment according to company and customer specifications. This role performs paint preparation, mixing, application, and equipment maintenance activities while following all shop safety protocols and quality requirements in a manufacturing environment.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
(The following duties and responsibilities are all essential job functions, as defined by the ADA, except for those that begin with the word "may.") Studies drawings, prints, and work instructions related to paint and finishing activities. Determines proper paint mixing recipes and related coating products applicable to specific jobs. Operates airless and conventional spray painting equipment. Prepares parts and equipment for painting, including sanding and taping as required. Follows instructions from lead personnel and supervisors regarding paint operations and production priorities. Adheres to all shop safety protocols, policies, and procedures. Cleans and maintains painting tools, spray equipment, and work areas. Operates lifting aids and material handling equipment as necessary to perform assigned work. Performs other related duties as assigned to assist with successful operations and business continuity.POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship. Must be at least 18 years of age or older. Successfully passes all applicable general pre-employment testing including but not limited to: background check, pre-employment drug screening, pre-employment fit tests, pre-employment aptitude and/or competency assessment(s) and pre-employment Pulmonary Function Test (PFT). In person, predictable attendance in Ponca City, OK. Overtime required based on business needs. Proficiency in spoken English language. Must comply with all company safety requirements and PPE standards in a manufacturing environment.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE LEVEL
Required:
High School Diploma or GED Required 0-3 years of industrial painting experience or equivalent combinations of education and experience that provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.Preferred:
Experience using airless and conventional spray-painting equipment. Experience preparing fabricated steel or industrial components for painting and coating application. Lean Manufacturing experience. Experience working in a custom fabrication or heavy manufacturing environment.QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, COMPETENCIES, AND ABILITIES
Interpretation of shop drawings, prints, and work instructions related to paint operations. Mixing and application of industrial paint and coating systems. Safe operation and maintenance of spray painting equipment and related tools. Knowledge of surface preparation processes including sanding and masking/taping. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-demand manufacturing environment. Strong verbal communication and listening skills. Understanding and adherence to shop safety procedures and PPE requirements. Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

This role requires working both indoors and outdoors, often during inclement weather, while performing labor-intensive duties. The work environment includes exposure to hazardous materials and operating conditions. Given the hazardous nature of the work environment, employees are required to wear company-mandated and company-issued Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including coveralls or shirt/jeans combination, safety hat, steel toe boots, safety glasses, ear protection, and designated safety gloves according to role. Employees must strictly adhere to all safety policies, including the Companies' Life Saving Rules and procedures at all times.
