Job Description

Overview Small downtown Leominster law firm specializing in Probate and Family Law, Civil Litigation, Criminal Law, and Personal Injury. We are seeking to hire a full-time paralegal with at least one year experience working in a legal industry or law office environment. Candidates must be detail-oriented and possess strong organizational skills and effective oral and written communication skills. Preferred candidates must have the ability to manage a diverse client caseload and meet deadlines. Salary commensurate with experience. What you'll do Conduct in-depth legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case preparation. Assist in drafting legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, and motions, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Manage case files through effective document management systems like Tabs3, Practice Master and LEAP. Interview clients and witnesses to gather essential information for cases. Provide executive administrative support by organizing schedules, managing communications, and maintaining filing systems. Collaborate with attorneys on various areas of law, including Family Law, Criminal Law, Civil Litigation, Personal Injury and more. Review and summarize documents for relevance and importance in litigation or transactional matters. Maintain meticulous records of all legal proceedings and correspondence. Basic qualifications Proven paralegal experience in a law office setting with familiarity in various areas of law. Preferred qualifications Strong knowledge of Massachusetts District Court & Superior Court Civil and Criminal Matters, Landlord-Tenant Law, Real Estate, Wills/Estate Planning, Probate & Family Law, Child Custody, Personal Injury, Contracts, and MCAD Law. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Proficient writing skills for drafting clear and concise legal documents. Experience with legal case management software and document review processes. Exceptional phone etiquette with strong interpersonal communication abilities.
