Paralegal- Insurance Defense/Construction Defect

The Boca Raton office of Luks, Santaniello, Petrillo, Cohen and Peterfriend is seeking a skilled and experienced Paralegal/Legal Assistant to support our Construction Defect Defense Team. Our firm's 200+ attorneys defend professionals, corporations and their insurance companies out of 16 offices throughout the State of Florida and Boston. Our dedicated paralegals are essential in our commitment to securing equal justice in the courtroom for our clients. You will work closely with our attorneys from the beginning of a case through the end, including through trial. Candidates must have extensive experience with document review, trial preparation, handling discovery, drafting legal documents, and managing case paperwork. Our ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Duties and Responsibilities Create reports and documents for lawyers based on case specifications and requests Help lawyers prepare legal arguments, motions, and other case filings Utilize case management system for all ongoing and completed cases Utilize existing files and a variety of other legal research resources to develop information for pending cases Secretarial duties also required such as scheduling and coordinating depositions and meetings Requirements and Qualifications A minimum of three years' experience working in insurance defense AIM/Perfect Law experience a plus Proficient in Microsoft Office Proven ability to handle multiple concurrent responsibilities in a highly dynamic environment Strong ability to work efficiently and effectively with time-sensitive materials Excellent judgment and demonstrated discretion in handling confidential information Ability to maintain organized files and databases Proficiency with productivity tools such as Google Workspace, Dropbox, and Office 365 Salary will be commensurate with experience.
