Job Description

Paramedic - Physicians Ambulance | Cleveland, OH $23.00 - $37.00/hr | Full-Time & Part-Time Education, Equipment, and Leadership That Elevates At Physicians Ambulance, we've spent 50+ years building a private EMS service that clinicians are proud to be part of. We're a third-generation, family-owned company operating across 22 Ohio counties — and we hold ourselves to a standard that shows in everything we do, from the condition of our fleet to the depth of our clinical education program. If you're ready to work at a service where excellence is the expectation, we want to hear from you. What We Offer Our Clinicians A Fleet That's Ready — Every Shift. Our vehicles are work-ordered daily, equipment is properly calibrated, and units are fully stocked and organized before you ever turn a wheel. We invest in the tools you need because your ability to deliver exceptional care depends on them. Clinical Education That's Unmatched. Our on-site Accredited Learning Center is staffed by six credentialed EMS Instructors. We offer a dedicated clinical education team, free refresher courses through educational partnerships, and clear advancement pathways — including EMS-I and Paramedic III / Critical Care Transport certification. We invest in your growth because better clinicians mean better patient outcomes. A Full Scope of Practice — Every Day. We run complex critical care transports alongside emergency and non-emergency calls. You'll respond to lower-acuity hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and designated events — and be expected to perform at your highest level every time. Compensation That Reflects Your Value. We pay 10% above the national average, with an experience-based wage matrix, full-time pay boosts, and differential pay for mid, night, weekend, and event shifts. Our merit-based review process rewards performance — not just time certified. What You'll Do Respond to both emergency and non-emergency calls, delivering medical assistance across a range of care settings Conduct thorough patient assessments and determine the appropriate course of action Administer medications with precise dosage calculation and correct route of administration Perform venipuncture, IV placement, and physical examinations to gather critical patient data Apply working knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology on every call Safely transport patients while delivering continuous, documented care throughout the journey Operate and maintain durable medical equipment (DME) to the highest standard Collaborate closely with hospital and facility staff for seamless, comprehensive patient handoffs Keep your unit clean, sanitized, stocked, and ready — every shift, without exception What We're Looking For Certifications & Licensing Current Ohio Paramedic Certification (required)
