CLINTONVILLE AREA AMBULANCE SERVICE JOB DESCRIPTION POSITION
Full Time - Paramedic and/or Paramedic with Critical Care EndorsementI. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS OF WORK
( qualifications necessary). 1. High School diploma or equivalent. 2. Must possess and maintain a valid state of Wisconsin driver's license 3. Must possess and maintain current Wisconsin State Paramedic certification. 4. Clear Background checks 5. Pass pre-employment screen and drug test 6. Minimum of 1 year paramedic experience in an ALS service. 7. American Heart Association BLS 8. American Heart Association ACLS 9. American Heart Association PALS 10. CEVO or other acceptable driver trainingII. SKILLS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
§ Excellent written and oral communication skills. § Ability to work independently with little direct supervision using time management skills. § Competency with Microsoft products, WARDS, and other windows and web-based applications for provider documentation. § Works well under pressure § Excellent customer service skills, ability to interact professionally with other agencies, the public, and other healthcare workers. § Patient care to level of licensure § Provide community education and maintain public relations. § Perform any functions and duties assigned by CAAS management team § Ability to maintain an effective working relationship with co-workersIII. HOURS OF WORK
Fulltime personnel are scheduled on a California rotation (24 on, 24 off, 24 on, 24 off, 24 on, 96 off) or Full-Time schedule approved by Clintonville Area Ambulance leadership. Availability during mass casualty events involving personnel shortages is essential.IV. PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF THE JOB
Sustained physical effort, standing, sitting, stooping, squatting, kneeling, lifting, pushing, pulling and climbing using proper mechanisms. Must be able to perform the following essential functions of the job: § Lift and carry medical equipment § Safely assisting the transfer of patients with a weight up to and sometimes exceeding 200 pounds (distributed weight) in and out of a vehicle § Lift and carry ill and/or injured patients (on or off a stretcher) as well as pushing and pulling of stretcher. § Climbing stairs or terrain to access patients, and to remove them from location found.V. PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT OF THE JOB
Working conditions include being indoors or outdoors anytime of the day and in any kind of weather with frequent exposure to disagreeable elements including danger and noise. The setting may be in bright daylight, indoor lighting or no lighting at all. Temperature ranges may include very hot to very cold. It may be noisy and fumes may be present from equipment or machines.VI. EQUIPMENT USED ON THE JOB
