Job Description
Job Summary As a Paramedic, you will be at the forefront of emergency medical services, providing critical care and life-saving interventions in high-pressure situations. Your expertise in patient assessment and emergency medicine will play a vital role in delivering exceptional care to individuals in need. You'll work collaboratively with healthcare professionals in various settings, including hospitals and trauma centers, ensuring that every patient receives the best possible treatment during their time of crisis. 48/96 Shift What you'll do Perform thorough patient assessments to determine medical needs and prioritize care effectively. Administer emergency medical interventions, including airway management and medication administration. Provide critical care transport for patients requiring advanced medical attention. Collaborate with hospital staff and other emergency responders to deliver seamless patient care. Utilize your knowledge of anatomy and physiology to inform treatment decisions and enhance patient outcomes. Conduct triage assessments in urgent care settings, ensuring timely treatment for all patients. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation using appropriate medical terminology. Execute physical examinations and administer injections as required, adhering to aseptic techniques. Experience To excel in this role, candidates should possess: Proven experience in critical care environments, such as Level I or Level II trauma centers. A background in emergency medicine or urgent care settings, complemented by EMT experience. Proficiency in performing venipuncture and monitoring vital signs effectively. Strong understanding of DME (Durable Medical Equipment) usage and patient care protocols. Ability to perform heavy lifting as necessary while ensuring patient safety during transport.
