Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Make an impact supporting students as a Paraprofessional, with two full-time contract openings available for the 2025-2026 school year. Located near Pittsburgh and ideal for those coming from Fox Chapel, Oakmont, Monroeville, Swissvale, or nearby communities, these roles are a great fit for compassionate individuals ready to start making a difference quickly. One paraprofessional will work with K-1 students, while the other will focus on grades 3-5, both within an autistic support setting. Assignments run from ASAP through June 5, 2026. Hours align with the school schedule at each assigned location.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a paraprofessional, preferably in a school setting Familiarity working with students with autism or similar support needs is highly valued Ability to provide toileting assistance and support classroom transitions when needed Patience, flexibility, and a proactive attitude are key Commitment to reliability and excellent communication with staff, students, and the school team
Key Responsibilities:
Support classroom transitions and activities with students Provide assistance with toileting and personal care, as necessary Take part in lunch duty and supervise student activities during breaks Help cover other paraprofessionals as requested Collaborate effectively with teachers, specialists, and school administrators
