Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Embark on an enriching contract opportunity this summer supporting students in dynamic learning environments near Hanover, PA. If you have experience as a School Paraprofessional and are passionate about helping students thrive during Extended School Year (ESY) programming, this role is an excellent match for your skills. Fifteen Paraprofessional Classroom Assistants (PCAs) are needed in two collaborative and supportive learning centers over the course of July.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
Prior experience working as a Paraprofessional or in a classroom support role Demonstrated ability to assist students with a variety of learning and behavioral needs Familiarity with ESY (Extended School Year) programming is advantageous Valid and current Pennsylvania school clearances (issued within one year of assignment start) Flexibility to work in either learning center, depending on preference Strong teamwork and communication skills
Role Responsibilities:
Assist certified teachers in providing instructional support and individualized attention to students Support students with daily classroom activities and ensure engagement and participation Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment Collaborate with team members to adapt materials and strategies to students' needs Participate in the staff inservice on July 7, 2026, to prepare for the ESY session Work the student instructional days from July 8-30, Monday through Thursday (hours vary by site)
