Job Description
Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Step into a vital support role as a Paraprofessional working 1:1 with a student in a respected middle school's life skills program. This contract position, conveniently located near Keene, NH, extends from ASAP through June 2026, operating Monday through Friday from 8:50 a.m. to 3:22 p.m. Your skills will empower a student to thrive academically and with daily living skills while making meaningful contributions to a supportive school community. In this role, you'll draw on your training, whether you're an experienced Paraprofessional or have certification as an LNA or CNA. You'll be guiding a student with academic material, ensuring comfort and dignity with care needs such as freshening, following a toileting plan, and providing positioning support. Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Background as a Paraprofessional, LNA, or CNA preferred Ability to provide compassionate, respectful personal care and positioning assistance Experience supporting students with special needs in a school or therapeutic setting is highly desirable Strong communication and collaboration abilities Dependability and a patient, encouraging attitudeKey Responsibilities:
Provide individualized academic support within a life skills classroom Assist with implementing toileting plans and help with personal hygiene as needed Support student positioning to promote physical comfort and safety Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and support staff to ensure comprehensive care Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment This contract position offers a consistent weekday schedule and the rewarding experience of helping a student reach their fullest potential.
