Job Overview Join us as a Summer Park Guide and become a history ambassador. In this energetic role, you will lead tours of the historic Lindenwald mansion and staff a visitor center. Your enthusiasm and leadership will inspire visitors of all ages to appreciate and connect with history. This paid summer position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your public speaking, teaching, and customer service skills while working in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities Lead informative guided tours for diverse groups of visitors, sharing knowledge about park history Engage audiences through compelling storytelling, demonstrations, and interactive activities that foster curiosity and learning Provide exceptional customer service by assisting visitors with questions, directions, and safety information Manage time effectively to ensure tours run smoothly and on schedule while maintaining high energy levels throughout the day Communicate clearly with guests of varying ages and backgrounds, adapting your language to be inclusive and accessible Uphold park safety standards by monitoring visitor behavior and ensuring adherence to rules and regulations Collaborate with team members to coordinate daily activities, special events, or educational programs Skills Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide groups confidently Excellent public speaking skills that captivate audiences and convey information clearly Outstanding customer service skills to create welcoming experiences for all visitors Effective time management to balance multiple tours or activities efficiently Clear communication skills for engaging storytelling and educational instruction Teaching experience or background in environmental education is a plus to enhance program delivery This paid summer role is perfect for energetic individuals passionate about history, education, and community engagement.
