Job Description

Job Summary Join our vibrant team as a Part-Time Park Maintenance Worker! This hands-on role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to contribute to the upkeep and beauty of public parks and recreational areas. You will be responsible for maintaining park grounds, ensuring safety, and supporting landscape and facility improvements. This position requires a proactive attitude, physical stamina, and a passion for outdoor work. Must have a valid drivers license and be able to pass a state background check Duties Perform lawn care tasks including mowing, edging, trimming, and fertilizing to keep park landscapes lush and inviting Operate hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruners, and power tools for landscape maintenance and hardscape projects Use equipment like excavators and snow plows for seasonal clean-up, snow removal, and construction support Conduct general park maintenance including trash removal, repairing benches or signage, and inspecting facilities for safety hazards Assist with tree care activities such as trimming or felling to promote healthy growth and safety Support water system maintenance to ensure utility usage throughout park Qualifications Mechanical knowledge with experience operating hand tools, power tools, and small machinery such as excavators or snow plows preferred, but not required Knowledge of lawn care practices, landscape maintenance techniques, cutting grass, trimming trees Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy objects, bending, standing for extended periods, and working outdoors in various weather conditions Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety standards during all maintenance activities Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving Prior experience with heavy equipment a plus This role offers an energetic environment where your skills directly enhance park property.
