Parks Worker - Full Time

JOB Purpose of Position:

The Parks Worker monitors, operates, maintains and cleans the Clark County Forestry and Parks department facilities, trails and parks. Purpose is accomplished by completing and performing routine maintenance and staffing facilities during operation hours.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES

Essential Duties and Responsibilities The following duties are normal for this position and this list is not exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties maybe required and assigned.

Operate light equipment such as trucks, lawnmowers and trimmers.

Perform semi-skilled work in one or more of the following: parks and trail sign maintenance, and light equipment preventative maintenance.

Work weekends during the winter months at Bruce Mound Winter Sports Area and as assigned.

Perform routine grounds maintenance tasks such as snow removal, shoveling dirt, raking, mowing grass and planting and trimming trees.

Install, inspect and maintain signs for various recreational trails and facilities.

Inspect recreation trails to determine if they are operational.

Perform routine construction duties such as nailing, sawing and painting.

Monitor equipment and tool operations and recommends repair/maintenancePerform janitorial tasks such as cleaning floors, collection of trash/litter and washing windows.

Assist in Forestry and Parks Department operations as assigned.
