Part Time Caregiver Need

Overview We are seeking compassionate and dedicated caregivers to join our team in Carbondale for first shift coverage. This vital role involves providing high-quality care and support to individuals with diverse needs, including seniors, those with developmental disabilities, and residents in assisted living or long-term care settings. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for residents through attentive, respectful, and personalized care. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance. Prepare meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with meal service while maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen area. Engage residents in social activities that promote mental stimulation, emotional well-being, and community involvement. Maintain a clean, safe environment by adhering to infection control standards and performing routine cleaning tasks. Drive residents when necessary for appointments or community outings, ensuring safety at all times. Skills Proven experience in senior care, assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care environments. Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's support strategies, and memory care techniques. Ability to perform first aid procedures confidently and respond effectively in emergency situations. Familiarity with medication reminding. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges in group home or personal care settings. Strong caregiving skills combined with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Competence in using EMR systems for documentation and record keeping. Ability and or willingness to learn to handle physical tasks involving lifting or transferring residents safely using Hoyer lifts or similar equipment. Flexibility to work during first shift hours with a positive attitude toward teamwork and resident engagement. Pay:

$13.00 - $14.50 per hour
