Part-Time Certified Police Officer with Traffic Enforcement

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and certified police officer to join our team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in traffic enforcement and a strong commitment to public safety.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform traffic enforcement duties, including monitoring traffic flow, issuing citations, and ensuring compliance with local traffic laws. Direct and manage vehicle and pedestrian traffic during peak hours or special events. Respond to and manage traffic-related incidents, including accidents and emergencies. Work closely with local law enforcement personnel and departments to ensure public safety.

Qualifications:

Certification:

Must hold a current and valid police officer certification recognized by the state of South Carolina. Must also possess a radar detector certification.

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in law enforcement with a specialization in traffic enforcement.

Skills:

Strong knowledge of traffic laws, excellent decision-making skills, and ability to handle stressful situations.

Physical Requirements:

Must be physically capable of performing all job duties, including standing for extended periods, and managing emergency situations.

Compensation:

Competitive hourly rate based on experience. Additional benefits may include benefits, such as PTO, retirement contributions, etc.
