• $45 an hour 8 hours ago Benefits Employee discount Professional development assistance Flexible schedule Qualifications Customer communication HIPAA Dental Hygiene Patient interaction Registered Dental Hygienist Open Dental Full Job Description We are looking for a hygienist team member for Mondays and Fridays 8 AM to 5 PM usually with an hour lunch break so around 16 hours per week.

We are looking for someone who is gentle with patients but also thorough with your scaling/cleaning abilities. We may eventually be able to expand days available to some Wednesdays or Thursdays in the future if you are interested as we grow or our staffing needs change. We strongly favor dental hygienists who use loupes to be as thorough and efficient as possible. Also must have good interpersonal skills with patients. Being positive and cheerful is a big plus in the dental industry. We have a good, positive work environment and are not a corporate office. Dr. Lindgren is the sole owner of Copper Mountain Dental and strives to set reasonable expectations and a good environment to work for our entire team. We try to run our hygiene appointments at a reasonable pace (Usually one normal hygiene appointment per hour) but there is potential for more income if you want to do staggered double hygiene on a day where we only have one hygienist working.

Responsibilities:

• Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth
• Take x-rays
• Assess patients' oral health and provide appropriate treatment recommendations
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
• Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide as needed
• Play a part as a member of the team in helping with sterilization and cleaning the office when there is downtime.
• Document patient care and treatment plans in electronic dental records systems (Open Dental experience is a big plus but not required)
• Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality
• Make good use of any down time to sharpen instruments and help keep the office neat an clean.

Requirements:

• Valid state dental hygiene license
• Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program
• Proficiency in using dental software systems (We use Open dental so if you know the system that is a big plus but not required)
• Knowledge of coding for dental procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
