Job Description

Job Summary We are a Small Family owned business with a small fleet of car haulers, We are looking to bring someone on that is eager to help maintain trucks on the weekends. This can include routine maintenance, to diagnosing issues that arise. This opportunity will start out as weekends only with options later to grow into new positions as we expand operations. Duties Diagnose issues using schematics, automotive diagnostics tools, and mechanical knowledge to identify repairs needed on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, and more Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, tire service, brake repair, and vehicle inspections to ensure safety and reliability Repair and fabricate heavy equipment components such as Car hauler trucks and trailers using power tools. Conduct repairs on industrial equipment by replacing shocks, repairing air brake systems, working on HVAC units, and servicing hydraulic systems Assist in assembly and disassembly of equipment parts; perform heavy lifting as required for component replacement or installation Use electrical experience to troubleshoot wiring issues; solder connections; interpret schematics for complex systems Maintain detailed service records; complete shift reports; ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications Experience Proven mechanic experience with a focus on diesel engine repair and automotive diagnostics Dealership experience or similar background working with heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, or Caterpillar machinery is highly preferred Hands-on fabrication skills including welding and metalwork for custom repairs or modifications Familiarity with heavy equipment operation including forklifts, tractors-trailers, or other industrial machinery Knowledge of schematics interpretation for electrical systems and hydraulic diagrams Experience with tire service, suspension systems, brake repair, HVAC maintenance, and power tools operation Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with team members and clients This role invites motivated individuals eager to develop their skills in a supportive environment.
