Job Description

PAY RATE
$16.17 - $22.25 per hour DOQ (up to 1,300 hours per year).
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES
Under the direction of the Golf Course Maintenance Supervisor or designate will primarily involve the maintenance, repair and overhaul of all golf course maintenance equipment as well as park automotive equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
The list below is intended to describe the general nature of duties only. Employees shall perform other duties as assigned. Services golf course, park automotive and power operated equipment. Operates golf course equipment and/or vehicles to test its functioning. May work on golf course equipment such as mowers, golf carts, other power tools, adjust brakes, align wheels, tighten bolts and screws and reassemble equipment as directed by the Golf Course Maintenance Supervisor.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Possession of a valid Michigan driver's license and maintenance of an acceptable driving record. Must be at least 18 years of age. Golf course maintenance equipment preferred. Ability to understand equipment operation instructions and shop manuals and to complete logs and records of work performed. Ability to use hand tools and manually controlled power tools requiring manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Ability to stand, stoop and bend for extended periods and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs. Ability to load, unload and move materials between work locations. Ability to traverse sandy, marshy or wooded areas with even or uneven terrain. Ability to work in all weather conditions. Ability to work varied hours depending upon park demands.
