Part-time Golf Course Pro Shop Clerk

The City of Lampasas is currently accepting applications for a Part-time Golf Course Pro Shop Clerk. Starting salary is $11.685/hour, DOQ, plus partial benefits. Essential Duties o Conducts pro shop business; o Interacts with customers, including assisting with purchases; o Makes merchandise sales and other transactions, including receiving golf fees; o Rents golf carts, including getting out and putting up carts; o Answers phones; o Balances receipts at end of day, including preparing and delivering report of daily transactions; o Sets tee times; and o Maintains and cleans pro shop facilities, including cleaning restrooms and emptying trash containers

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of:

computers; golf course merchandise and equipment; game of golf and tournaments; and department policies and procedures.

Skill/Ability to:

understand and follow instructions; perform basic mathematical calculations; interpret policies and procedures; communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and customers. Acceptable Experience and Training o High School Diploma or GED; o or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
