Our Lakewood Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Housekeeping Aide to join our Environmental Services team. As a Housekeeping Aide, you will play an essential role in maintaining a sanitary, comfortable, and attractive environment for our residents, families, and staff. Your work directly supports infection prevention efforts and helps ensure a positive living experience for everyone in our facility. Why Join Our Team? ✔ Supportive leadership and collaborative team environment ✔ Meaningful work that directly impacts resident comfort and safety ✔ Opportunities for advancement within environmental services ✔ Flexible scheduling options ✔ Daily Pay available through Tapcheck ✔ Competitive benefits for eligible employees What You'll Do Clean floors by sweeping, vacuuming, dust mopping, wet mopping, and disinfecting Clean and polish furniture, fixtures, ledges, and heating/cooling units Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, and common areas Clean windows, mirrors, walls, and ceilings as assigned Deodorize, disinfect, and spot-clean carpets and upholstered surfaces Empty trash receptacles, replace liners, and transport waste to designated disposal areas Refill soap, paper towel, toilet tissue, and hygiene dispensers Clean offices, hallways, stairways, elevators, and entrance areas Clean and prepare vacant rooms for new admissions Follow established cleaning schedules and infection control procedures Maintain equipment in good working condition and report hazardous conditions promptly Properly clean and store equipment at the end of each shift Inform supervisors of supply needs and inventory shortages Replace burned-out light bulbs in assigned work areas as needed Cross-train in laundry services when required Attend departmental meetings and in-service training sessions Practice safe work habits at all times Maintain confidentiality of resident information and protect resident rights Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred Previous housekeeping experience preferred Healthcare or long-term care experience is a plus Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation practices, and infection control procedures Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Frequent bending, stooping, stretching, and reaching required Ability to move furniture and equipment as needed Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds Ability to safely operate housekeeping equipment and carts Benefits Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance Daily Pay (Tapcheck) Paid Time Off Holiday Pay 401(k) Retirement Plan Life Insurance Short-Term Disability Schedule Options Part-Time Position Available Day Shift Available Weekend and Holiday Rotation Required On-Site Position Apply today and become part of a team dedicated to maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment that enhances the quality of life for our residents every day.
