Responsibilities Maintain cleanliness and organization of kennels, cages, and surrounding areas to promote hygiene and safety Assist with feeding, watering, and monitoring animals' health status throughout the day Handle animals safely during routine restraint procedures and ensure their comfort during interactions Assist KENNEL staff with basic animal husbandry tasks such as bathing, grooming, or basic medical procedures Observe animals closely for signs of illness or distress and report findings promptly to

Requirements Previous kennel experience or animal handling background preferred but not required; eagerness to learn is essential Knowledge of animal husbandry practices and veterinary terminology is a plus Ability to handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques for dogs, cats, or other small animals Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods; physical stamina is important Prior veterinary clinic experience or veterinary assistant background is beneficial but not mandatory Busiest time is the weekend so weekend work required.
