Part-Time Lecturer - NU Global (Boston) About the Opportunity The College of Professional Studies at Northeastern University invites applications for a non-tenure track part time faculty lecturer in the NU Global program on the Boston campus. NU Global is a leader in innovative educational programs for international students. We offer ESL and content courses to help prepare students for undergraduate and graduate studies at Northeastern University. Positions are available contingent upon enrollment, funding and departmental needs. Stipend rates vary per course. Position not benefits-eligible. The College of Professional Studies is one of ten colleges of Northeastern University, a nationally ranked private research university. Founded in 1960, the College provides lifelong experiential learning that unleashes the capacities of aspiring individuals in all stages and walks of life. The College teaches undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students on campus and online in more than 90 programs. Responsibilities Qualified candidates must be prepared to work with global student populations. NU Global is seeking dynamic, academically-focused English language teachers. On-ground, semester-based courses include academic listening, speaking, reading, and writing at the upper intermediate and advanced levels, and some content-based instruction. Schedules vary, with teaching loads from three to eighteen hours per week. Qualifications Master's degree in English, Teaching English as a Second Language, Applied Linguistics, or closely related field At least two years of experience teaching in a higher education environment Demonstrated commitment to student success Ability and willingness to collaborate with peers on student success strategies Application Materials Applicants should submit materials including a cover letter and vitae.
