Job Summary:
Performs a variety of semi-skilled to skilled tasks related to the maintenance of parks. Performs routine maintenance and cleaning of park buildings and restrooms. Operates light equipment, vehicles and other park maintenance equipment. Works under the direction of the Parks & Buildings Manager.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/ MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
' Open, inspect, clean and resupply all public restrooms and other buildings in the park system. ' Mow, trim and irrigate all turf areas on a regular basis. ' Maintain trees, shrubs and other plant material including trimming, pruning, fertilizing, planting and watering. ' Collects garbage and litter and disposes of same on an established routine. ' Maintain turf and plant material areas by implementing fertilization and weed/pest control programs. ' Operation, routine maintenance and repair of a variety of small to large projects. ' Performs routine cleaning of park facilities and bathrooms.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/LICENSES/CERTIFICATES REQUIRED
High School diploma. Possession of, or the ability to secure possession of, a valid Oregon driver's license. May be required to attend certain seminars or workshops which may be out of the area.
