Children:
The family has three children: a son (almost 7) and two daughters (4 and 2). B7 is very active, curious, and all boy. He's a bit of a math whiz and loves physical play and attention. He enjoys sports like hockey, baseball, basketball, and flag football, along with building Legos after school (rather than screen time during that transition). He will be entering 1st grade next year. School runs 8:00 a.m.
  • 2:50 p.
m. Evenings often include activities, and the nanny will help with snacks, homework, and getting him ready for sports. During the s ummer he will enjoy several c amps and lots of pool time. G4 is a true middle child with a strong imagination—she loves creating games and stories and plays well independently. She is strong-willed and is intuitive and will test limits if there is inconsistency. She and her siblings play very well together and are especially playful. She is also the strongest swimmer (ISR trained). G4 will attend preschool 4 days/week from 8:00-11:00 a.m. in the fall; the nanny will assist with pick-up and quiet time afterward (no nap). She will attend a few camps in the summer and increase activities as she gets older. G2 is transitioning from baby to toddler and is easygoing and go-with-the-flow. She loves her siblings, sleeps well, and communicates her needs clearly—if something is wrong and addressed, she's quick to recover. She has been slower to verbalize but is rapidly progressing. She loves music, dancing, and reading with you, and is very much in a sponge stage of learning.
She thrives on routine:
typically wakes around 8:00 a.m., enjoys morning outings, lunch, nap from 1:00-3:00 p.m., and bedtime around 7:30/8:00 p.m. All three children love being outside, and the family lives in a very walkable area with access to coffee shops, the library, aquarium, levee, zoo, and nature center. Managing all three children together can be busy, so strong awareness and a focus on safety are essential.
Family Values:
This family prioritizes respect and kindness—both within their home and in how their children interact with others in the world. They emphasize rhythm and routine, along with teaching their children the importance of hard work and perseverance. They are an active family who enjoys spending time together traveling, being outdoors, visiting parks, riding bikes across the river, and exploring places like the zoo and aquarium, as well as trying new restaurants. Nutrition is also a priority—they focus on clean eating, incorporating fruits and vegetables into meals (often starting with a vegetable), and limiting constant snacking, as they've seen a positive impact on behavior when meals are balanced. Screen time is approached with intention and moderation, following a consistent routine. The girls may have about 20 minutes after lunch before transitioning to rest time, while after-school screen time is not part of the routine for their son. The parents maintain a structured yet flexible work life—mom is a nurse working three days per week on a rotating schedule (provided six weeks in advance, with some flexibility for requests), and dad splits his time between travel, the office, and working from home, with more in-office time during the summer months. They value consistency and maintain clear, firm boundaries with follow-through, and are seeking a nanny who will confidently uphold and support this approach. At the heart of their parenting is a deep joy in seeing their children happy, confident, and experiencing the world—whether that's trying something new, learning a new word, or simply feeling proud of themselves in everyday moments.
Duties include:
Basic care and clean up after children. Children's laundry. Keeping the house picked up and orderly, wiping counters/table, vacuuming, putting stuff away, etc. Transportation to activities as well as pick-up/drop-off to camps and school. Assistance with potty training when developmental appropriate for toddler
Pets:
The family does not have any pets.
Hopes:
Ultimately, the family is seeking a professional long-term nanny who is dependable, consistent, and truly invested in becoming a trusted part of their household. The ideal candidate is experienced with multiple children, highly reliable, and both safe and present in their care. They should be engaging, active, and patient, with a warm, compassionate, and honest approach. A strong fit will be proactive, organized, and detail-oriented, while also being adaptable to the needs of a busy household and skilled at maintaining the family's rhythms and routines with confidence and care. The family requires a 1-year commitment, but could see the role extending 2+ years.
