• Part-time Position Summary Osborn R-O School District is seeking reliable, flexible, and student-centered substitute teachers to support our classrooms when regular teachers are absent.

Substitute teachers are responsible for maintaining a positive learning environment, following lesson plans, supervising students, and ensuring the safety and well-being of all students during the school day. Key Responsibilities Follow lesson plans and instructions left by the classroom teacher Maintain a safe, orderly, and respectful classroom environment Supervise students in classrooms, hallways, cafeteria, and other school settings Take attendance and complete required documentation Communicate effectively with students, staff, and administration Adapt to different grade levels and subject areas as needed Uphold district policies, procedures, and professional expectations Qualifications Substitute teaching certificate or ability to obtain appropriate Missouri substitute certification Experience working with children or in an educational setting preferred Strong communication and classroom management skills Ability to work collaboratively with school staff and administration Preferred Skills & Attributes Dependable and punctual Positive attitude and professional demeanor Flexible and adaptable in various classroom situations Passion for supporting student learning and success
