The ideal candidate is a skilled, detail-oriented groomer who thrives independently, communicates well with pet parents, and ensures each pet receives the highest quality care. Responsibilities Provide professional grooming services (bathing, haircuts, nail trimming, ear cleaning, deshedding, etc.) for dogs and cats in our state-of-the-art mobile grooming van (up to 5-6 pets per day) Consult with pet owners to understand grooming requests, coat conditions, and any special needs. Maintain a calm, compassionate, and safe environment for pets during the grooming process. Safely operate and maintain the mobile grooming unit, ensuring cleanliness and functionality. Assist with client scheduling and local marketing.

Work Location/Schedule:

Part time (2-3 days per week, including one weekend day per week) In-person, routes within Morris, Essex & Union County NJ Flexible scheduling options available Friday and at least one day per weekend (Saturday OR Sunday) is a must Qualifications

REQUIRED

• 2+ years of professional grooming experience (mobile grooming experience preferred).

Must be able to schedule repeat bookings Strong knowledge of breed-specific cuts, coat care, and handling techniques. Comfort working independently and driving in a mobile environment. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for past 3 years. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Strong work ethic and commitment to maintaining a clean, safe and professional grooming environment Physical ability to lift pets of all sizes and stand for extended periods. Passion for animals and commitment to their overall health and well-being. Desire to continually learn new things and perfect your craft with each additional groom completed. Willingness to complete pet health-related training including emergency pet treatment and how various health concerns may be improved via nutrition, supplements, etc. Preferred Experience Doodles, hand scissoring, double coats/deshedding Mobile grooming experience What We Offer Competitive pay (commission + tips + retention bonus).
