Description:
Job responsibilities: Establish a process that safeguards all inventory and assets. Conducts weekly audits of stock items to assure inventories are accurate. Stocks all incoming and return inventory to the correct locations. Ensure that all parts existing and entering are accounted for and process them in accordance with company policies. Manages all special-order parts and records. Maintains inventory on the shelves by reporting items that need to be reordered, identifying any discrepancies in stock levels, and returning any unsold items back to the PDC. Receives and ships parts in accordance with company policies: Hazmat's and/or dangerous goods certificates. Set up orders for daily shipping, deliveries or technician pick up. Complete all documents, reports, and forms to company policy. Establish good communication with technicians, engineers, coordinators and managers on parts delay and availability. Demonstrates behaviors consistent with the Company's Values in all interactions with customers, co-workers, and vendors. Ability to read and understand the parts catalog when looking up parts (Paragon). Reviews technician parts to be sure the parts that are ordered are correctly. Pull and fills orders from stock. Notifies parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention. Locates out-of-stock parts from outside source and submits an emergency order, if necessary. Make sure all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair order or to the correct cost center. Effectively partner and communicate with other managers, staff, and customers to ensure the highest satisfaction is maintained. Maintain knowledge of manufacture changes, part recalls, and be responsible for relaying the information to staff. Conduct and maintain weekly and monthly budget reports. Oversee invoicing and billing practices. Maintain DOT hazardous material training. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Education:
High School Diploma Work Experience:
Five or more years' related experience in an automotive parts department. Excellent customer service skills. Professional appearance and work ethic. Ability to work well in a process driven environment.
Additional Skills:
Computer Literate (Excel, Word, Power Point, general computer knowledge) Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information. knowledge of automotive parts and vehicle mechanical operations.
