Maintenance Manager / Fleet Manager Job Summary The Parts Coordinator is responsible for managing the procurement, inventory, and distribution of parts and supplies necessary to maintain the company's fleet of trucks and trailers. This role ensures timely availability of parts to minimize downtime, maintain operational efficiency, and support the maintenance team. Key Responsibilities Source, order, and track parts, tools, and supplies for fleet maintenance and repair Maintain accurate inventory records, including stock levels, usage, and reorder points Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and competitive pricing Receive, inspect, and organize incoming parts and materials Issue parts to technicians and track usage by vehicle or job Monitor backorders and proactively communicate delays or shortages Maintain a clean, organized, and secure parts room/warehouse Process invoices and reconcile purchase orders with deliveries Assist in developing cost-saving strategies and vendor relationships Support emergency parts requests to minimize vehicle downtime Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical or logistics training preferred 2+ years of experience in parts coordination, inventory control, or a related role (preferably in trucking, automotive, or heavy equipment industries) Strong knowledge of truck and trailer parts is a plus Proficiency with inventory management systems and basic computer skills (Excel, ERP systems) Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching Ability to work in a warehouse or shop environment Work Environment Combination of office, warehouse, and maintenance shop settings May require occasional overtime or on-call support for urgent parts needs Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on experience Health, dental, and vision insurance Vacation time Retirement plan Opportunities for advancement within the companyBenefits:
