Pastor

The Pastor is the spiritual leader of Clear Springs Baptist Church Mascot Tennessee and is responsible to the congregation for proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ through faithful, expository preaching and teaching. He provides visionary administrative leadership, engages in pastoral care ministries to meet the spiritual, emotional, and physical needs of the church family and community and serves as the chief administrator of the ministerial and vocational staff. The Pastor leads the church in preaching and teaching, discipleship, evangelism, missions, and the fulfillment of the Great Commission (Matthew 23:19-20) The Pastor must meet the bibical qualifications set forth in 1 Timothy 3:1-7. He must be a man clearly called of God, dedicated to the ministry of the Lord Jesus Christ, evangelistic and missionary in spirit, and committed to the doctrines and practices contained in the church Constitution, By-Laws, and Articles of Faith. He should live in close proximity to the church, support all church programs, and preferably be a graduate of a Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
