Job Description:
The Patient Access Manager oversees all pre-service, point-of-service, and post-service Patient Access operations to ensure efficient workflows, accurate data collection, and exceptional customer service. This role supervises registration staff across admissions, emergency, and outpatient areas while ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
Responsibilities include:
Manage daily Patient Access operations across all registration areas Supervise and support admissions, emergency department, and outpatient registration staff Ensure accuracy and integrity of patient information and data collection Maintain appropriate staffing levels and workflow efficiency Train staff on new and existing procedures, protocols, and operational standards Promote exceptional customer service and patient experience Ensure compliance with departmental policies and operational procedures
EDUCATION
High School Diploma. Undergraduate degree in a Healthcare-related field or in Business Administration preferred Patient Access Certification to be earned within one year of hire in lieu of degree.
QUALIFICATIONS
5 plus years Patient Access experience with 1 year management experience in a health care related field.
