Mercy is hiring Patient Care Associates to support patient care across multiple inpatient units, including Cardiac, General Surgery, Med/Tele, Neuro, Observation, Oncology, and Orthopedics. Openings are reviewed on an ongoing basis as unit needs arise.Position Details:

Opportunities for night shifts Full-time and part-time schedules available Clear career ladder advancement to Patient Care Technician (PCT) and beyond What You'll Do Patient Care Associate (PCA): Obtain and document vital signs Assist patients with daily care needs including meals, bathing, toileting, mobility, and transport Provide clerical and unit support as needed Patient Care Technician (PCT): (Includes PCA duties, plus additional skills) Phlebotomy and blood cultures Enteral feeding and wound care IV and Foley catheter removal Tracheostomy care and suctioning Training Provided No experience required - we'll train you Complete a 175-hour Mercy training program (meets state requirements) BLS certification required within 1 month of hire Qualifications High school diploma or G.E.D. required CNA preferred but not required Students in healthcare career programs and current Mercy co-workers encouraged to apply Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50lbs Prolonged standing and walking Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, and squatting Why Mercy?
