Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and organized Patient Care Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills, excellent communication abilities, and a compassionate approach to patient interactions. As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will serve as the primary point of contact for patients, managing appointments, insurance documentation, and supporting the overall flow of clinic operations. Duties Greet patients warmly and assist with check-in procedures to ensure a positive first impression. Schedule appointments efficiently while accommodating patient needs and provider availability. Verify insurance information and assist patients with understanding their coverage and billing processes. Maintain accurate patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with privacy regulations. Provide administrative support by managing phone calls, emails, and other correspondence related to patient care. Coordinate with clinical staff to facilitate smooth patient flow throughout the day. Assist with billing procedures, including processing payments and insurance claims when necessary. Qualifications Prior experience working in a medical or dental office environment is highly preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with medical administrative support tasks. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and staff. Office experience demonstrating proficiency in scheduling software or electronic health records systems is advantageous. Experience in dental office settings is considered a plus but not mandatory. Ability to maintain professionalism and empathy when dealing with diverse patient populations.
