Job Description

Looking for a dynamic, energetic, outgoing and organized Patient Care Coordinator for a fast paced, prominent Plastic Surgery practice to assist in the patient acquisition process and strengthen the patient experience. Must have strong customer service and sales experience, have exceptional computer proficiency, be detail oriented, possess excellent communication skills, and have the ability to effectively sustain multiple simultaneous tasks while maintaining a high level of customer service. Will be responsible for speaking with all new patients on the phone, explaining procedures, answering questions, providing guidance, acting as liaison between surgeon and patient, quoting fees, scheduling surgery, promoting surgeon and surgical results, reviewing pre- and post-operative instructions, collecting fees, interfacing with patients and their families from the initial phone call through surgery completed, customizing the care plan for each patient, managing the consultation process, paying close attention to the details of the entire patient experience, participating in practice marketing, bonding and "hand holding" of patients through their surgical decision process. This position is a customer service role, as well as a patient support role for all new and existing patients in the practice and the ideal candidate must thrive in a service environment. Must have a professional presentation that is representative of our upscale practice, be highly motivated and work well individually as well as in a team environment. Candidate will be held responsible for creating weekly/monthly benchmarking reports, as well as meeting monthly, quarterly and annual goals.
Hours:
Monday to Thursday, 8am - 5pm and Friday, 8am - 3pm (shift will fluctuate between business hours)
Experience/Requirements:
Proven record of excellence in customer service and sales. Medical office sales experience in the areas of Plastic Surgery, Cosmetic Dentistry or Dermatology would be beneficial, but we are willing to train the right person. Will consider experience in hospitality and retail sales industry. Demonstrated strong communication and interpersonal skills over the telephone, in written communication and in-person.
Clinical Experience:
Preferred experience in a clinical setting with involvement in sterile fields and procedures.
Locations:
Will rotated between both the Leawood and Lee's Summit offices.
