Job Summary:

The Patient Care Technician performs routine duties within the limits of documented training for the emergency department and other patient care areas, as needed. The care is rendered under the supervision and direction of the Registered Nurse. Facilitates the information and activity flow to and from the nursing unit; assists in answering phones, taking messages, making phone calls, faxing orders, etc. Will also be competent to monitor telemetry and report cardiac rhythm changes to the nursing staff for further investigation when indicated. Will have good customer service, computer and organizational skills. All other duties as assigned that are within the scope of practice.

Qualifications:

BLS required. IV course certification of Advanced EMT certification. Telemetry Tech Training required within 6 months of hire.

Pay Range:

$16 - $22 DOE
