The Patient Coordinator 1 reports to the PET Technologist(s) with whom he/she is staffed. The duties of the Tech Assistant are supervised by the Director of Operations.Job Responsibilities and Duties:
Greeting, transporting and screening patients in preparation for exam; assisting patient transfer to and from mobile coach, on and off scan table and dismissal upon exam completionObtains accurate patient history and explains total exam process to patient; as directed, assists in administering preliminary and post exam instruction and answering questions related to the exam procedureAs directed by technologist, interacts with site staff to obtain paperwork and supplies as needed. Additionally, may be asked to deliver paperwork to radiologist and/or admin staff post scan to ensure timely availability. As directed by technologist, assist with obtaining blood glucose level and set an IVAs directed, assists the Technologist with data entry for patient data sheet, nuclear medicine record keeping, end of day reports and supply ordering. o Interaction with registration clerks, directors and radiologists as needed for effective communication.Submission of paperwork to client as indicatedCleans unit and prepares for transport as directedOther required duties as assigned by the Technologist and/or
Director of Operations Job Requirements Skills Education:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) requiredRecommended 6 months-1 year of related experience and/or training in a clinical setting; phlebotomy experience preferredCurrent American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification and other qualifications as may be required (may be obtained at time of employment)Physical and Intellectual Requirements:
Manual dexterity for manipulating small items; regularly lift at least 50 pounds throughout each shift and to be able to lift 75 pounds on occasion. Able to handle standing, walking and sitting for 4+ hours with limited rest intervals; good eye-hand coordination; fair eyesight (with or without correction lenses); normal hearing in at least one ear (hearing range of 20 Hz to 20 kHz); ability to analyze situations, set priorities and meet deadlines while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced and dynamic environment; effective organizational skills; a commitment to continuous learning; an ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.PHC offers a competitive compensation package and superior benefits.
