Job Description
Description Job Summary:
This position performs clerical and administrative services in greeting, registering, and admitting patients in a healthcare facility. Also, responsible for identifying the best methods to schedule patient appointments accordingly and completing insurance verifications and authorization.Essential Functions:
Complete the pre-registration process for all new clients and schedule appointments accordingly, including orientation of new patients, monitoring all patient activities on center premises, and providing customer service as a point of contact for patient inquiries . Collects co-payments and patient financial responsibility at the time of service. Understands the financial contract process for collecting patient responsibility. Ensures that all necessary demographics, billing, and clinical information has been entered into the registration system with timeliness and accuracy. Maintain strong communication with Program Director, PRSs, physicians, and other nursing staff regarding intakes. Verify insurance benefits and obtain prior authorization as necessary. Complete the monthly eligibility via the 270/271 Waystar process, ensuring the corrections are worked and returned to the Methasoft system. Monitor, follow up, and secure all new and re-authorizations promptly. Monitor the daily reports for missing billing episodes, profile information, authorization submitted, and pending. Monitor the center's debit and credit balances to ensure monthly collections are monitored. Ensure all patient interactions and follow-up work are documented using the appropriate case note. Responsible for accurate Billing Episodes to ensure proper billing. Be the liaison between multiple centers to ensure the effectiveness of training and developing new PRCs in conjunction with the PRSs. Complete Administrative tasks, including answering phones, checking and delivering mail, maintaining supply inventory, anticipating supply needs, ordering supplies, and verifying receipt of supplies, as applicable. Maintains confidentiality and safeguards the operations of the business. Keep lines of communication open with the Clinic Operations Team to ensure individualized goals are met. Adheres to the service policy and principle of CMG/New Seasons. Other duties assigned.Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position requires a High School Diploma or GED.Required Knowledge:
This position requires a strong customer service background and knowledge of electronic health records systems, insurance verification, authorization, and medical insurance.Experience Required:
This position requires a minimum of 2-3 years of insurance verification, authorization, understanding of patient responsibility, cashier or other related experience, and a minimum of 2-3 years of healthcare experience.Skill and Ability:
The position requires reading, writing legibly, and comprehending written and spoken words: basic computer literacy, and the ability to effectively learn new software programs. Use assertive communication skills. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to effectively present information to management, public groups, and customers.
