Job Description

Job Summary:
The Patient Scheduling Coordinator (PSC) is the first point of contact for patients, responsible for ensuring a professional, organized, and welcoming front-office experience. This role manages patient intake, verified documentation, resolves alerts before services, handles scheduling and payments, and supports clinic operations while upholding core values and fostering a positive team environment.
Role and Responsibilities:
Greet patients and provide new patient paperwork as applicable. Obtain a copy of the patient's valid driver's license for verification and verify patient demographics. Ensure accurate scanning/uploading of required documents into patient charts to maintain compliance and organized records. Oversee cash handling, including maintaining an accurate and secured cash drawer preparing and submitting weekly cash logs, and collecting patient payments as needed. Communicate delays to patients and clinical staff promptly and escalate patient concerns to appropriate leadership when necessary. Verify and resolve all patient account alerts before the encounter begins, ensuring compliance prior to any services or treatment being provided. Schedule appointments and follow up appointments. Receive and route messages or documents, such as laboratory results, to appropriate staff. Exhibit a professional appearance and uphold a clean, organized front desk and lobby environment to ensure a welcoming patient experience. Ensure all patient areas are stocked with current promotional materials, updated flyers, clinic notices and informational pamphlets in both front office and treatment rooms. Adhere to the assigned weekly depth chart duties. Demonstrate a commitment to fostering a positive team environment while consistently upholding the organization's Core Values and professional standards. Other duties as assigned
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent Excellent attention to detail & verbal/written & interpersonal communication skills. Ability to carefully read and follow directions Good teamwork skills
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times. The ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand as well as verbal comprehension when receiving information. Able to provide and receive information effectively and professionally.
