  • 4:30 PM No weekends or holidays UPMC Pediatric Specialists is seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our busy pediatric practice in Lemoyne.

Lemoyne, PA Travel Requirement:
Open to traveling to additional offices, including Chambersburg, PA (approximately 25% travel required) a { text-decoration: none; color: #464feb; } tr th, tr td { border: 1px solid #e6e6e6; } tr th { background-color: #f5f5f5; } Manage daily front and/or clinical office functions in a high-volume pediatric setting while delivering excellent patient and family-centered care. Responsibilities include scheduling appointments, coordinating patient flow, supporting providers, and ensuring timely communication with patients and families. Maintain accurate documentation within the electronic health record and assist with various administrative and/or clinical tasks as needed. a { text-decoration: none; color: #464feb; } tr th, tr td { border: 1px solid #e6e6e6; } tr th { background-color: #f5f5f5; } The ideal candidate will have prior medical office experience , with a strong understanding of medical terminology and basic medical knowledge preferred. They will demonstrate excellent customer service skills with a patient-first mindset and have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume pediatric environment. A genuine enjoyment of working with children and families is essential , along with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively prioritize tasks. Strong computer skills are also required.
Responsibilities:
Provide a warm and welcoming greeting to all patients Guide patients through the use of self-arrival technology or check-in at the front desk based on preference Collect copayments and any applicable patient payments at the point of service Confirm and/or update patient registration information at checkout Schedule follow-up appointments within the practice at checkout Schedule or connect patients to resources for ancillary services at checkout Assist patients in navigating the healthcare system by providing clear, understandable instructions Provide follow-up on unresolved patient questions or needs to ensure continuity of care Demonstrate understanding of service recovery principles and take appropriate action to resolve service concerns in alignment with the UPMC Experience Register patients in the biometrics (fingerprint recognition) program and explain benefits Promote the MyUPMC patient portal and assist patients with registration as needed Educate patients on financial responsibilities and connect them with advocacy resources when appropriate Confirm and verify insurance benefits through online systems or telephone inquiries Obtain required patient or family signatures for consent to treatment and financial responsibility in compliance with HIPAA regulations Appropriately distribute and triage phone calls to clinical providers or other departments Assist with administrative duties, including scanning medical records and faxing Stay informed on the navigation and usability of the UPMC Patient Portal and confidently support patients in using it to ensure continued access to health information and care services
