Paving Crew Member Old Town, ME 04468 $23.00 - $34.37 an hour - Full-time $23.00 - $34.37 an hour - Full-time Job Overview Join our dynamic paving team as a Paving Crew Member and be a vital part of transforming roads, parking lots, and other surfaces into durable, smooth, and safe environments. In this energetic role, you will work alongside experienced construction professionals to operate heavy equipment, handle concrete materials, and execute paving projects with precision and efficiency. This position offers a hands-on opportunity to develop your skills in construction site operations while contributing to impactful infrastructure projects. Whether you're experienced in construction or eager to learn, this role provides a rewarding environment where teamwork and safety are our top priorities. Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment and move materials efficiently on-site Assist in to ensure high-quality pavement surfaces Use concrete pumping systems to deliver materials accurately during paving operations Set up and install rebar frameworks for reinforced concrete surfaces following project specifications Maintain safety standards by inspecting equipment, adhering to safety protocols, and ensuring a clean work environment Support the installation of concrete forms and assist with the placement of materials for seamless paving results Collaborate with team members to execute paving tasks efficiently while maintaining quality standards Qualifications Prior experience working on construction sites or in paving-related roles is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates Ability to operate heavy machinery such as excavators, loaders, and dump trucks safely and effectively Mechanical knowledge related to construction equipment maintenance and troubleshooting is advantageous Familiarity with concrete mixing, pouring, finishing, and forming techniques Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) or experience operating commercial vehicles is a plus Strong understanding of construction safety procedures and protocols Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks including lifting heavy materials and standing for extended periods Join us in building lasting infrastructure while advancing your career in a fast-paced, energetic environment!
