Job Description Payroll Associate Overview:
Our client, a leading private investment firm managing billions in assets, is seeking a meticulous and proactive Payroll Associate to join their dynamic team in Boston. This pivotal role supports the firm's global operations by ensuring accurate payroll processing for over 1,000 US employees across various departments. $70,000 - $80,000 (not including a bonus)Responsibilities:
Manage the bi-weekly payroll cycle for a multi-state workforce using ADP, ensuring the accuracy of each payment. Liaise with ADP to resolve payroll discrepancies and communicate updates effectively. Prepare manual off-cycle payroll transactions as needed. Record payroll data into the general ledger and perform monthly reconciliations of payroll accounts. Oversee fringe benefits and deductions, maintaining employee 401(k) elections. Reconcile bank statements on a monthly basis to ensure alignment with payroll records. Address employee inquiries related to payroll promptly and professionally. Support the finance and HR teams during payroll audits and other ad hoc projects. Contribute to future payroll initiatives by participating in special payroll-related projects for HR and finance departments. Execute routine tasks to support overall payroll operations efficiently.Requirements:
3 to 5 years of payroll processing experience, ideally using ADP (preferably Workforce Now). Hands-on experience with Workday is advantageous. Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, Outlook, and Word. Ability to thrive in a complex and fast-paced multi-business environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact across all levels of the organization. Demonstrated organizational skills and a detail-oriented mindset. Self-motivated with a proactive attitude and the ability to prioritize competing responsibilities. Discretion in handling confidential information with integrity.
