  • Manage full-cycle bi-weekly payroll.
  • Calculate and process stipends, longevity payments, and salary increases as dictated by union contracts.
  • Manage time and attendance tracking for hourly employees, including substitutes and custodial staff.
  • Oversee monthly reporting and contributions to the Massachusetts Teachers' Retirement System and the Worcester Country Retirement Board.
  • Manage mandatory OBRA deductions for part-time, seasonal, or temporary employees.
  • Process all deductions including state and federal taxes, health insurance premiums, 403(b) contributions, and union dues.
  • Enroll employees in benefits including health and life insurance.
  • Prepare and file quarterly and year-end tax forms (941s, W-2s).
  • Act as the primary point of contact for staff regarding pay discrepancies, direct deposit, and tax withholding.
  • Verify employment for mortgage applications and loan forgiveness programs.
  • Prepare data for annual state reporting and audits
  • Complete employee retirement forms
