We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Payroll & Benefits Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will manage payroll processing, administer employee benefits programs, and ensure compliance with financial and HR regulations. Your expertise in payroll management systems and accounting software will help us maintain accurate records and support our employees' needs effectively. Responsibilities Process payroll accurately and on time Administer employee benefits programs including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies Reconcile payroll data with accounting software Maintain detailed records of payroll transactions, benefits enrollments, and adjustments Ensure compliance with tax regulations and prepare necessary reports for governmental agencies Support benefits administration by answering employee inquiries and managing open enrollment periods Perform account reconciliations related to payroll expenses and benefits costs using analysis skills and financial concepts Requirements Proven experience with payroll management systems such as Paycom Strong knowledge of accounting software and general ledger reconciliation processes Familiarity with HRIS platforms such as Paycom Understanding of benefits administration procedures and governmental reporting requirements Knowledge of non-profit accounting practices is a plus Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail Ability to perform double entry bookkeeping, journal entries, debits & credits, and account reconciliation Strong analytical skills combined with a solid understanding of financial concepts related to payroll and benefits management Effective communication skills in human resources functions and employee support Join us in this exciting role where your expertise will directly impact our organization's success!
