Payroll Manager About the job A fast-growing multi-site organization is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to oversee high-volume payroll operations supporting 2,000+ employees across multiple locations. This role is ideal for a hands-on payroll professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, values accuracy and compliance, and enjoys partnering with operations and finance leadership. Responsibilities Process weekly payroll for 2,000+ salaried and hourly employees across multiple locations Ensure accurate payroll reporting, reconciliations, audits, and recordkeeping Generate payroll reports and perform data analysis using Excel and payroll systems Process garnishments, terminations, tax notices, benefit changes, and related payroll transactions Coordinate payroll-related payments to benefit and retirement providers Respond to employee and management payroll inquiries in a timely manner Prepare recurring and ad hoc payroll reports for leadership teams Supervise payroll support staff and provide guidance on payroll processes and compliance Assist with additional payroll and finance-related projects as needed Qualifications 7+ years of direct payroll experience Experience with Paycom and/or ADP Workforce Now Strong knowledge of payroll compliance, wage and hour laws, garnishments, payroll taxes, and multi-state regulations Intermediate to advanced Excel skills Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion Detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines in a high-volume environment
