In this vital role, you will support our clients with their payroll processing and operational needs. You will leverage advanced payroll software and accounting systems to handle complex payroll calculations, tax filings, and benefits administration. Your expertise will help maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while supporting our commitment to employee satisfaction and operational excellence. Responsibilities support client payroll accurately and efficiently using On Demand Payroll's proprietary applicartion Reconcile payroll accounts and prepare journal entries for general ledger integration, maintaining precise records of debits & credits. Manage benefits administration related to payroll, including deductions for health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee benefits. Perform data entry tasks with high accuracy Ensure compliance with tax regulations by preparing and submitting federal, state, and local payroll tax filings in a timely manner. Conduct account reconciliation activities for accounts payable, receivable, and other financial accounts associated with payroll processing. Collaborate with human resources and finance teams to resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee inquiries promptly. Support non-profit or governmental accounting procedures as needed while maintaining strict confidentiality of sensitive information. Assist with month-end closing procedures by preparing reports on payroll expenses and analyzing financial data related to compensation costs. Qualifications Proven experience managing payroll processes using software such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, or UltiPro Strong understanding of payroll management principles combined with knowledge of accounting software like QuickBooks or similar platforms. Knowledge of financial concepts including general ledger accounting, journal entries, account reconciliation, debits & credits, and double-entry bookkeeping. Ability to perform detailed data entry with high accuracy (10 key typing skills) while adhering to strict deadlines. Experience working within HRIS systems and benefits administration processes; familiarity with government reporting requirements is advantageous. Excellent analysis skills to interpret financial data related to payroll costs and compliance metrics. Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Basic understanding of tax regulations related to payroll processing and experience with non-profit or governmental accounting is preferred.
