Monthly Employee Engagement Activities Who You Are :
College degree in Accounting or related field preferred. 2-4 years of experience required. Healthcare and/or senior living experience preferred. Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Payroll software. Strong time management. Strong attention to detail. Tact and discretion, for dealing with confidential information. Fluent in English, Spanish language is a plus.
Job Summary:
The Payroll Specialist shall be administratively responsible to the Director of Human Resources. The incumbent will have responsibility for all aspects of bi-weekly payroll and reconciliation; payroll related taxes and filings, payroll quarterlies (G/L) account analysis, and the monthly entries and reconciliation of the billing for all health plans. The incumbent provide support to the Director of Human Resources with special projects.
Essential Duties:
Produces accurate and timely biweekly payroll for approximately 400 employees Preparation and filing of misc. employee withholdings including but not limited to; benefit deductions, 403(b) deductions, garnishments, child support etc. Preparation and filing of Federal and State taxes on a biweekly basis. Prepare quarterly payroll tax filing. Coordinates and reviews the preparation of all payroll statements and reports, including W2 statements. In coordination with Human Resources Generalist reviews insurance invoices monthly and codes for payments. Audits invoices to ensure new enrollees, changes and terminations are processed correctly.
