Job Description
We are seeking a Payroll Specialist to support payroll operations in a banking environment. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate, timely payroll processing while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Part of a team that processes bi-weekly payroll, including time and attendance verification Maintain accurate, confidential payroll records in compliance with internal controls Respond to employee payroll inquiries and provide excellent service Reconcile payroll reports and resolve discrepancies Prepare reports for Finance, HR, and audits Assist with deductions, garnishments, tax filings, and year-end processing (W-2s)Qualifications:
Associate Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred 2+ years of payroll, accounting, or administrative experience Strong attention to detail and accuracy Knowledge of payroll regulations, taxes, and internal controls Proficiency in Microsoft Office; strong Excel skills preferred Strong communication and customer service skills Experience with payroll systems (ADP, UKG, Paychex, etc.) preferred Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work to be performed by personnel assigned to this job.
