Our client is seeking a skilled Payroll Specialist to support payroll operations for a large, unionized workforce. Payroll Specialist Role:
Process biweekly payroll for approximately 550 employees, ensuring accuracy across departments. Interpret collective bargaining agreements to ensure proper pay, deductions, and benefits administration. Review and resolve employee medical leave backlogs, maintaining accurate payroll records. Maintain, audit, and report on payroll data within the UKG system. Troubleshoot payroll and system issues, partnering with HR and finance to drive solutions. Qualifications for the
Payroll Specialist:
Preferred:
Degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or related field. 2+ years of payroll experience, ideally in a union environment. Experience with UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) or similar systems. Strong attention to detail with the ability to interpret labor agreements and policies.
