If there is alignment now or in the near future, we reach out. The Opportunity We are collaborating with multiple companies in Kentwood seeking experienced Payroll Specialists. Key Responsibilities Process bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees. Ensure accurate calculation of wages, overtime, and deductions. Administer and reconcile employee benefits, including health insurance and 401k. Prepare and submit payroll tax filings and year-end W-2s. Maintain up-to-date payroll records and employee information. Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, taxes, and benefits. Collaborate with HR and accounting departments on payroll-related matters. Recommended Qualifications 3+ years of experience processing multi-state payroll for 500+ employees, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Demonstrated proficiency with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Workday, UKG) and timekeeping systems. Strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations, including multi-state tax compliance. Experience with general ledger reconciliation for payroll accounts and month-end close processes. Ability to interpret and apply collective bargaining agreements or union contracts to payroll processing. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and payroll calculations.
